The Department of Immigration and Citizenship has now introduced the new Skilled Occupations List (SOL). This will apply to all applications made from 01 July 2010.

Additional measures have been introduced to ensure the genuineness of documentation provided with student visa applications.

Reforms to Australia’s Long-Term Temporary Work Visa (Subclass 457) are now in place. The changes are designed to ensure the integrity of the program and to ensure overseas workers have access to the same working conditions as Australians.
